9/14/2020 0 Comments Why 90% Spanish is necessaryGood morning! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable weekend :) Parents, please read - I have had several parents express their concerns over their student struggling to understand me when I speak Spanish since they have a low level of Spanish themselves. I recorded this video to explain why I plan on using a lot more Spanish in my classes from here on out, both in when I speak and in leaving my slides in Spanish. This is meant to be a kind way to explain that it is not only okay for your students to be struggling to understand the Spanish, but expected. I have also included links to podcasts, videos, and websites that show the research and that using 90% or more of the Target Language (Spanish in this case) is the new norm. There is no need to read or watch or listen to any of this, only if you want more information on as to why I will be using 90% Spanish in my classes and to know the exact research from the researchers themselves. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns as I'm always happy to help in any way I can, but I also want to ensure the students are getting the best education they can using the most up-to-date research. ¡Muchísimas gracias! :) Students - Please feel free to watch this video as well if you would like :)
