9/5/2022 0 Comments Cross country fall 2022Good morning Ray Warriors!
I am excited to announce that cross country for 5th-8th grade boys and girls begins today, on Tuesday, September 6th. Practice will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM. Below is the schedule for the meets, we will compete wherever it says Network 9. Tuesday, September 27th at Washington Park - Chicago Park District Washington Invitational Saturday, October 1st at Chicago School of Agricultural Sciences - Network Invitational Saturday, October 29th at Hanson Stadium - Hanson Park Regional Qualifier Meet Saturday, November 5th at Washington Park - City Championships Students must wear athletic clothing to practice or they will not be allowed to practice. That means athletic shorts or pants, sweatpants, a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, and most importantly gym shoes. If an athlete shows up to practice wearing jeans and/or open toed shoes or crocs they will not be allowed to practice that day. All athletes must maintain a good GPA, meaning they can not have a D or F in any class if they want to participate. Similarly they will not be allowed to participate if they are disrespectful to any students or adults in the building. If an athlete doesn't listen and follow directions during practices or meets they will be asked to leave the team. We want to foster a positive, safe, and productive environment. If you have any questions then please reach out to me via email at [email protected]. Go Ray Warriors!
